Regarded as a drum’n’bass innovator under the name Marky Mark and then just DJ Marky, he was discovered by English DJ Bryan Gee, who saw Marky playing in a club in São Paulo in 1998. Amazed by Marky’s scratch skills, he invited the DJ to play in London. Marky got started in drum’n’bass in 1992, choosing a more hardcore edge, but the small audiences nearly caused him to give up. At the time, he was told that that kind of music was for only a few. In 1997, he went to London and met DJs Hype and Goldie. The meeting with Brian G was definitive for Marky’s conquering of England. In 1999, he was awarded "Best New DJ" by the British critics. The recording sessions of his album "Working the Mix" happened in his house, with two pick ups, one mixer and vinyl albums. When it was ready, he showed it to moguls at Paradoxx and got lucky. Having taken over Brazil and England, Marky has been praised for his sound articulation abilities, with elaborate mixings that connect one song to the next with amazing accuracy and also for the careful choice and combination of the repertoire. Here are first 4 installments of his podcast. Quality stuff! Enjoy!
One of D'n'B's most famous figures, establishing the infamous Metalheadz, gaining an acting role as a dodgy gangster in the TV show 'EastEnders' and was also a participant in the celebrity version of the reality show 'Big Brother'. The pair first met in 1987, both living on Blackbird Leys estate in Oxford, England and brought together through a mutual love of hip-hop. Distracted by the arrival of hardcore in the early nineties, record collecting was quickly followed by DJ'ing and eventually production. Greenhalgh was the first into the studio, with "Freestyle Fanatic" launching his career in 1991. However it was the establishment of the Legend imprint and specifically Greenhalgh's "Champion Sound", which really took their profile above and beyond the slew of anonymous white labels that were dominating the music at the time. In 1994, the pair started recording together, with "Got to Believe" the first in a series of records which pushed the label away from the fizzling darkside movement and more towards the epic string sections and rolling beats which started to appear on labels like Lucky Spin, Basement and Good Looking. After six years of recording singles for others, the pair established the CIA label in the closing months of 1997 with the help of Brillo from Timeless. The release of their Silent Reign EP for Goldie's Metalheadz breathed a new lease of life into the project, and the pair achieved a further boost with a well-timed Bad Company remix of "Champion Sound" which conjured further interest in what they were doing at their own label. Their debut album Advance exposed a further field of interest, with downtempo experiments logged as a series of "Breaks" on the majority of their early EP's extended to some superb deep house, this breadth taken a step further with their Skin Deep imprint which has forged broken beat to considerable acclaim. Their pioneering of a revival in old-school sounds and arrangements, together with Digital and Reinforced, dominated drum & bass throughout 2001.Total Science and MC Stamina live on DNB Arena 10th Birthday Marathon Party.

D-Bridge, one quarter of the famous Bad Company, is the highly ranked producer. Fabio praised his sets whenever he heard him. Here is a little info on his label. Exit Records is the fruition of a lifetime goal for D-Bridge. Exit came about as a result of Darrens desire to be able to express his own individual qualities as a producer, rather than being a contributor to a greater whole. Embarking on a solo effort seems like a natural progression for Darren, who through the success of Bad Company UK, Spacek and more recently with Istickz has managed to create a diverse and inspirational release catalogue of enviable proportions. Along with further releases planned on Exit in the later part of 2005, there are also several solo efforts out on high-profile labels including Liquid V "China Blue/True To The Craft/Better Dayz", Soul:r "Without Answers/Loves Ugly Child", Creative Source "Something To Hide/Belief, Bingo Beats "The Monochrome EP" and Metalheadz "True Romance/Bellini" Read the full post for the tracklisting of his set for

Moving Fusion exploded onto the scene in 1998 with the dance floor smashing heavy weight anthem Turbulence on Ram Records which went on to receive MixMags coveted Tune of the Year award. Ever since, Moving Fusion have been a permanent fixture of the Ram Records family and at the cutting edge of dance music production. The outfit have also enjoyed touring the world on a regular basis, mixing up the music that they love. Their debut artist album The Start Of Something confirmed them as a drum and bass outfit of epic proportions. Turbulence changed everything for Moving Fusion, all the DJs played it and everyone bought it! The only problem was that the guys had put everything they had into making that tune, every trick in their book, so following it was a daunting task to say the least. So it was a case of going back to the drawing board, or sampler as the case may be. Read more for download location...
